Sugar not so sweet
MUMBAI, JULY 6
The sugar market witnessed a bearish trend on Friday due to selling pressure. At Vashi prices declined by ₹30-50 while in naka trade it dropped by ₹50-110. Mill tender rates were down by ₹10-80 in line with quality. On Thursday mills sold about 38,000 – 40,000 bags at ₹3,080-3,240 a quintal S-grade and ₹3,180– 3,340 M-grade. Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,206-3,312 and M-grade ₹3,292-3,546 .
