Sugar market holds firm

The sugar market ruled firm on Monday as producers were not keen to sell at lower rates. On Saturday 17-18 mills sold about 55,000 bags at ₹3,080-3,240 for S-grade and ₹3,180–3,340 for M-grade. Bombay Sugar Merchants Association spot rates: S-grade ₹3,212-3,312 and M-grade ₹3,302-3,582. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,205-3,295 and M-grade ₹3,275-3,395.
