Selling pressure dissolves sugar
MUMBAI, APRIL 3
Sugar prices at the Vashi wholesale market declined by ₹20-30 a quintal on higher selling pressure at upper mill level amid slack demand. Naka rates were down by ₹10-15. Arrivals increased to 58-60 truck loads and local dispatches were at 57-58 loads. Freight rates were steady. Inventory at Vashi were about 105-110 truck loads. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,010-3,140 and M-grade ₹3,090- 3,306. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹2,940-3,040 and M-grade ₹3,000-3,150.
