Bullish trend in sugar market
MUMBAI, JULY 3
As expected, sugar prices at Vashi increased by ₹20-₹70 on Tuesday, following firm mill tender rates. Naka rates were up by ₹10 for M-grade and ₹60 for S-grade. However, due to heavy rain and disturbance in transport services, the presence of trader—brokers in the market remained thin and activities limited. Arrivals and local dispatches were lower compared to the previous day due to rain but remained on par keeping market inventory steady at 100–105 truckloads. Bombay Sugar Merchants Association spot rates: S-grade ₹3,312-₹3,492 (₹3,240–₹3,465) and M-grade ₹3,342–₹3,612 (₹3,270–₹3,591). Naka delivery rates were: S-grade ₹3,280–₹3,380 (₹3,220–₹3,320) and M-grade ₹3,330–₹3,420 (₹3,320–₹3,420).
